MP4 Digital Audio Player

I've tried a lot of firmwares from here, but no luck yet, I hope anyone can help... please

Display: 1.8"
Board: KJT-881FV2
2007.02.03
AK 1025
Samsung 728

It was a "8GB" player, but in real it is 1GB.
It has a built-in speaker.

Thanks for any effort!
I will report any success.

he's dead i gues?
or u want real 8gb?

try different firmware from the download page-->9.xx.x

Hehe no, I know that 8GB was just a fake or means "GigaBits" or whatever, so I am happy enough with 1GB.

The player had the mysterious "hour glass" syndrome...

Then I've managed to import some new firmwares (9.xx.x) and the player is now useable as USB-Stick, but the screen stays black, with some firmwares the backlight is on, with others off, but nothing more.

I see your PM so lets clarify some points, to see the differences from your player to mine.
This is my player http://www.idream-multimedia.com/pho...CV_moyenne.jpg
This is the hardware(chips and display):
- CTW 500(Main processor Chip)
- Samsung k9lag08v0m(2GB Memory Chip)
- TEA5767(FM Radio Chip)
- CSTN display 1,5" with 65K colors
So like you can see the display not have the same size and you don't tell in your post what hardware your player have inside, so if you can identify the player chips put it here.
You can find similar players here http://www.uxcell.com/mp3mp4-players-c-981.html , like this one http://www.uxcell.com/mp4-mp3-player...05-p-5734.html and firmwares here http://www.uxcell.com/faq.php?category=Download .
I hope that my post ca give you some help about how to solve your problem. If you need PM me.
Best regards.
Esdrubalino.

PS. Sometimes the CD that came with the player have original firmware, you need to look arround the CD directorys to see if you don't have the solution rigth there.

Wow, thank you very much for your help!

You are right, it's not the same player, for example my player is 1.8" screen with 128x160 pixels, yours is 1.5" 128x128. Well, the hardware is different as well. Anyway, the last link looks very promising (FY-791 from MJN). I wrote a mail to them, hopefully I will get an answer.

Don't forget to give them your hardware description, like the main processor chip and memory chip codes.
Best regards.
