Default flash not responding?

I tryed to put a firmware on my mp4, and it said "flash no responding". I don't know what caused this problem, but I was wondering if my MP4 could still be recovered, and if so how?

technoboy,

So your player is 'dead' and you are trying to recover it? Does the "flash not responding" message come on for ALL firmware files you tried to use or just some? If some, then it sounds like the firmware is not compatible that's all.

heiko,

You can use a .bin file in the same way as a .fw file to flash your player. It should work the same. If the program doesn't detect it, then rename the .bin file as a .fw instead.

take off battery, re-solder the flash, then upgrade again.
