Dead Blueberry CAT mp4 player, need help recovering

Hi!

I have a Blueberry CAT mp4 player. I installed the wrong firmware and it shut down and didn't power up. After that here I found a very useful tip, that explained how to recover a dead player. My player now powers up, my pc recognizes it, but I still can't find a good firmware. I also formatted it. It doesn't have a website and there are a thousand firmwares available to download, but I don't know which one is for my player. If the firmware has installed successfully, I can power up the player, but there is just a blue screen. It looks like if it tries to boot up.

This is the player that I have:

What type of firmware do I need?
Please help, I just bought this player a year ago!

Re: PLease help recover my dead mp4 player!

sorry to hear that and i am not master ur players. u can go to this FAQ about mp3/4 players, where it has some firmwares, u need to try all the different versions of firmware provided at their website in order to find the one that allows the player function again.

wish u have a good luck!

LOL, some of the tutorials over at sourcingmap.com mentioned by vvxiao, if you look carefully is actually a total rip copy of our tutorial! Even the screenshots and text are exactly the same!

Look at the "How to copy music, videos, and photos to an MP3/4 player?" tutorial and the "How to upgrade the firmware on an MP3/MP4 player?" tutorial, they are both EXACT copies from our site! Word for word as well as screenshots.

Another person who has the same player as me, said that he has a "lsc_514_04_ 2006/08/15 act_v3.5.37" firmware. It's working for him. i think it came with the player. I'll will keep trying to download some firmwares until I find one that works.

What does "s1mp3" mean? I've tried many firmwares. Some of them just freeze while my player is booting up. My PC doesn't have a problem detecting it, It only installs the "s1mp3" files.
What type of firmware do I need?
In it's users manual says that the latest firmwares can be found on it's website, but it doesn't even have one!

I think it is an ipod nano clone. At least it looks like one.

I don't know what this means, but on the back side of the player there is this code: MP-732CV1-SL 2005.11.05.

How should I format it, using FAT or FAT32?

I searched for the code on http://www.s1mp3.org/pl/downloads_fw.php, the "MP-732CV1-SL 2005.11.05." should work with my board, but it's not. I still have a blue screen.

I recovered it!!! :P :P

I was downloading many firmwares from another website. I was working on it for hours. Then I came back to this forum and downloaded one and it worked! I searched for the firmware on this forum in the past days, but I haven't noticed the correct one.

The dead player recovery guide is very helpful!

Thank you guys for this wonderful website!
