Default My new mp4 broken, ipod nano imitation

Hi, I bought a Mp4 player a month ago and the past days i had the problem that if i connect the usb cable to the computer it is not recognized by WindowS XP... I tried with a different cable and it's the same, I tried to change the firmware but is the same.

The device is working, the radio, games and photos are still in the flash memory...

I noted that the battery icon stops moving when I connect the usb cable to the pc. i say moving to the animation of the battery fill up.

The firmware is bksd91n12_10 - 2007-05-21 - 9.1.51.

Thanks for the help and sorry for my poor english. Good Bye!

spamster , try connecting the player to another computer and see if the same problem still occurs. Ensure that you don't use a USB hub.

From what you have described, usually the problem lies in either the computer's OS, or a faulty socket on the player.

It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.

u know how to open the player's cover? open it and re-solder the USB port's pins. this player should have 4pin.

Hi interruptor0, I tried with a multimeter if there isn't a broken connection in the flat cable. All seems to be alright.

But I have found something interesting.... If I connect the Usb cable for my mp4 and my old usb extension it works.

if you don't understand:

C-----------X S-----------------x

C: usb male, to Pc
X usb female, to USB cable
S usb male
x: mini USB, to the device....

I found that solution but it doesn't work all the time. It works in a few computers and sometimes..

If anyone has happen the same, maybe have the solution to the pproblem

Thanks!

Hi!

I tried a new cable that works (A motorola V3 mini usb connector) and didn't work... Windows says the same, usb device not recognized.

Thanks for the help!

Hy everyone!

Again searching the problem I found something very strange. If I connect the mp4 to the computer before it boots, the amibios freeze when tries to recognize the device. (It worked with my old mp3, ir appeared USB#0: USB 2.0 FS FLASH DISK)
So, its not the usb hub and is not the OS, tried in all ports.

Thanks for the help!
