Default Wrong flashing ONDA VX858LE

Hi,

first. thank so much from your suggestion...(Riolist,knob,DaremoS,...)
i have same problem (paul01609, dnul and ...)..flash wrong firmware.
...touchscreen and buttons not working...
i try from your suggestion
"knob"
1) Switch the player OFF using the main on/off switch.

2) Hold down the menu key and keep it held down.(may be a different key for you but there are only 5 to try anyway)

3) Connect the usb to the player.

4) Wait for about 10 seconds before releasing the menu key.

5) You are now in upgrade mode!

6) Then just start ConsumerUpdate and upload a working firmware

and "Riolist" i try step by step ...my computer can see USB Mass storage device. (1.RockChip Usb mp3 usb device.. Generic volume E: 2.RockChip Usb SD USB device.. Generic volume F
but touchscreen and buttons not working too..show as pics..(i understand u "paul01609" )

You are not in the correct mode. Those are the data partitions, you need to get into the upgrade partition, which is hidden and can only be accessed either 1) with the player 'OFF', holding a button down then plugging in to computer, or if that doesn't work 2) shorting pins on the memory chip inside the player, as Paul did. In addition, once the computer is connected to the upgrade partition you have to load the correct driver, which is in the install folder of the upgrade program on the computer, then you'll be able to flash the correct firmware. Read and re-read the other thread, all the information is there.

ok i opend up my player again and taken some photo of the inside, just get a very thin screw driver to prize open the back of the player(you prolly will leave some marks on the plastic)then carfuly remove the battery but go steady as the battery it glued down, then leave the player tuened on and connect it to your pc with the usb,on my chip i have a large v shape looks live a pen mark at the bottom of the v and to the left of it thats where i made the connections with twizers,if you join me on msn i have a picture of the chip and area i did the connections on,i carnt say which ones i connected because i carnt remember it was more look on my behalf, msn is paul01609@hotmail.com

the correct way to make your computer connect is:
short circuit the flash's 29 and 30 pin. hold it and connect the USB cable. after hearing connect sound from ur PC, release the short circuit.

There is more information on recovering this type of player here:-
http://www.mympxplayer.org/2-vt7807....=asc&&start=15

Please make sure you only try to flash the CORRECT firmware.
VX858 and VX858LE are 2 different players and their firmwares are NOT the same!
The VX858 uses a separate audio chip, VX858LE doesn't.

Here is a photo showing which 2 pins you need to short (29 and 30).

Click the image to open in full size.

Hope this works for you...

NO, Not the Rockchip try the flash that's the same shape like the one in the picture above, might say "Hynix" or "Samsung" on it or another brand on it, must have the same shape as the chip in the picture.
