YJ-818B ANYKA dead

This mp4 player has MP4 camera FM radio Ebook etc. I had to reformat and that worked ok from instructions from the forum. I have tried all the firmware that is available but the player will not come back to life. screen displays usb dis and had 16mb and 1gb sections, I load the firmware to the 16mb section and disconnect. I then have to press the reset ( small hole in the side). But nothing happens. I can always get to usb disk or the format options but no joy. Has anyone got a better Bios firmware for this player. the only other info is its made by Brilliant Top and they have a chinese website www.encca.cn. Any help would be much apreciated.

what kind of Player?

The player is just marked mp4. It has the model number YJ-818. It has a 2.5inch screen. Was working but various troubles forced me to reformat. Now has 16mb and 1gb sections but does not work with the bios firmware I have downloaded.. Any suggestions before I scrap it...
