My Mp4 Digital Player won't turn on no matter what!!!

Hello, i upgraded my mp4 player with wrong firmware, which i regret.. i didnt no anything about firmware so yea.. anyways i tried the recovery guide and did it right, it came to a white screen and it connected to the computer right, then all of a sudden it cut off. and from then on it wont come on period!
every now and then i connect it to the computer and sometimes it says "cannot recognize the USB thingy" or whatever and stuff
half my life is on this mp4 player help!
