I have now tried S1Clone three times and it does not work!

I managed to purchase six MP4 Players (two identical pairs of different models).

Although S1Clone does appear to work and takes approx. five hours to create the file, it does not work when flashed to the identical players.

There are lots of 9.1.52 firmware files available but all totally different, 1.5, 1.8, 2.0 screens , portrait or landscape, different button layouts and there is even the new iPod video clone that takes 9.1.52 firmware but it has the new Apple type USB plug and the volume button is in the centre of the click wheel.

I think you should put photos of your MP4 Player and as much details such as chip, lcd, pcb numbers etc. on your web page.

It is true what you say but I am looking for any version firmware 9.1.52 to make a collection so I will not give special features as this limited the amount of firmwares, and the more is better.

With regard to s1clone tries to delete or copy to the pc first, everything you have in the mp4 and then use the s1clone so you take less time and looking after the file *. fw * bin, or similar extecion, and that's the firmware.

Sorry for my english.

Before I used S1Clone all the players were formatted and checked for correct size so the file was just the image.

The problem is that S1Clone creates a complete raw image and that is why it is so large and takes so long.

The only success I have had with flashing firmware is when I use the full firmware from the included disc or from the sellers web site.

I have even been successful with firmware with different numbers but only playing music and as a mass storage, but no screen.

I have too many and they are too large to email.

There is already a lot of good firmware's on this site but you need to open them up with the resource editor to at least check that they are for the same screen size and have a similar menu layout.

Have you tried http://www.uxcell.com/mp3mp4-players-c-981.html

Check their products first for model codes and then go to their download pages and select the firmware.

Do you have some details of your MP4 Player, photo's or at least a link to eBay with a similar player?

Cheers, Douglas

Firmware 9.1.52 extracted with s1clone v1.2 has 40mb cause it has all the media from factory included. Belongs to a 1GB Nano Clone.
Try it!

Re: Checkout firmware 9.1.52

I have tried the firmware from rapidshare but it doesn't work.
with s1clone there is a message: "false flash id, memory size" and the updates stops with an error at ~50%.
with MP3UpgradeTool "Invalid upgrade firmware file" but at current firmwire there is 9.1.52
Maybe me player is realy broken(there is also no light at the screen any time)!?!?
With the 9.1.52 firmware i see only the usb-drive with the 3 files.

ACU7513, Samsung 728 K9LAGO8UOM, 2555D5EC (flash id)

Hi Douglas, would you please upload those 4 FW to rapidshare so we all can try them?
That would be very nice from you.
Thanks a lot.
Andres.

Re: Checkout firmware 9.1.52

which program do you use for downloading the firmware to your player?
i tried it, but the s1clone program shows the message "warning: different boot rom, flash chip id, flash size".
the boot rom warning stopped my attempt, i aborted.
may the firmware could damage my player(more)?

Hello Erebos, if your player actually works, PLEASE!!!! do not upgrade the FW, if it doesn't you may try this FW I uploaded ignoring those messages, if it doesn't work, it won't be worst.
But I repeat, if it work, please don't touch it.
Regarding your question about which software I used to extract them, I use S1Clone.
I´ll be waiting for your comments.
Good Luck.

Re: Checkout firmware 9.1.52

no problem, the player wasn't working. have already tried many FWs.
Have updated the player with your FW...
same message "can't read from device" or some like that at the middle of updating process
when I turned the player on - now white screen...(closer to the goal?)
drive letter works, but player doesn't

may you have another FW to try? :)

thanks for help!

Hi all!

I have this Mp4:

With AK 1025 chipset (is it ACTIONS?),

Samsung 732

Flash memory.

My Factory firmware is 9.1.52

1.8" (262000 colour) TFT

No built in speaker
Whole metal case
3.6V Li-Polymer battery
it plays .AMV video format

Is this 9.1.52, compatible with my player?

Re: Checkout firmware 9.1.52

hello videojo,
i have tried your firmware(v 9.0.50). have uploaded with s1clone with only two warnings:
1. "different boot rom"
2. "differences in page 0x00039D5E"
but the player doesn't works.

maybe i have the same flash id but a different cpu (ACU7513)?

regards, erebos

Th3_uN1Qu3 3rd Dec 2007 10:31 am

Try this one for ACU7513: http://www.mediafire.com/?apiykd9xzyx

It's dumped from my working player, version 9.1.50. When i verified it with the player i extracted it from it showed lots of differences so i don't guarantee it's working, but it's worth a shot. ;)

Erebos 7th Dec 2007 6:00 am

Re: Checkout firmware 9.1.52

Thank you Th3_uN1Qu3,

i have uploaded the firmware to my player, but unfortunately he doesn't make a sign of life.
If you or anybody else have a firmware for 2GB ACU7513 with fm and speaker, may you send it to me please?!

regards,
Erebos
