Default unable to flash pod

Hello!

Have tried several Firmwares for my chIpod nano, but no firmware fits. Now 9.0.43 is on my Pod. I can see a disk drive. But at MP3 Player Upgrade Tool 4.03 and Production Tool when I try flashing with new firmware the process stops after a short time.
In MP3 Player Ugrade Tool the flashing procedure stops at the Message "Displaying the Communication Picture".
(always black screen on player)

How can I reset the player to adfu device? I have tried the connection between pins with no affect.
Please Help!

Erebos , if MP3 Utilities Upgrade Tool does not detect your player, then you will need to repeat the Dead Player Recovery guide, where you'll need to short the memory chip.
The shorting process is a random and luck thing, and you'll just need to keep trying.

However, if Upgrade Tool detects your player, then you can just continue trying other firmware versions. Perhaps you might want to uninstall and install another version of MP3 Utilities, as some versions tend to hang for unknown reasons.

It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.

have tried to short the pins an also another software and now i'm able to detect the player again, thanks.
but its a new player, so i think i have to wait for new 9.1.xx firmwares.

is it common that the screen is still black? with no backlight? or is it realy broken?

Erebos , a blank black/white/blue screen usually indicates that the lcd driver file is incompatible. These electronic components don't just die for no reason unless you intentionally short them with much higher voltage/current, or drop and damage them etc.
