ONDA VX858 OEM Purhcased in MP4Nation.com
 

My Onda Just arrived... Being me, I'm having a deja vu with mp4 players again, I updated firmware, latest from ONDA, VX858 (Because I was told that OEM VX858 in MP4Nations were, non-LE's in Mp4Nation Forums).. The firmware screwed it up, there is a screen battery always charging, so I researched, and got my player open and did the hard-reset (which i lost 2 screws for)... I tried every single LE and non-LE firmware in ONDA's site, and didn't work.

All ONDA VX858 Firmware shows battery recharging screen, and LE Firmware work, but the Touch-screen is non-active.

Is there a solution to this mess? Am I doing anything wrong?

lol, the battery fell off, but i re soldered it. hahaha. ok anyone?? thanks!

If your player has the square wolfson audio chip like in this photo.

then your player is a VX858 and you can only use VX858 firmware NOT VX858LE firmware.
The VX858LE doesn't have the wolfson chip so uses different firmware.

It doesn't have it, I guess I have a VX858LE 4gb.


OK Now, I installed the latest firmware... however, my touchscreen doesn't respond like i stated on my last post.

I tried resetting, tried all 3 LE Firmwares...

lol, this is so badddd, i didn't even have it for 3 minutes and i broke it LMAO.

Can anyone help me please, i looked through the forums... Seriously, there is NOTHING in here that helps in my topic at all, there are some related to it, but there are non that has instructions for me to do to fix this problem.

Question is, is this OEM player from mp3nation really a vx858 or a vx858LE and is it safe to use ONDA firmware on it at all?
I don't have this player so maybe someone who has a OEM 858 can answer the question, maybe this player is really just a clone..
