Nexxtech P2 dead
 

hi, i recently adquire a generic mp4, nexxtech-p2 (image)
it comes whith a mini-cd which contain some games and the firmware. I don't know why, installed the new fuc** firmware, and after that, it never turn on again.
To upgrade i folow the manual's step:

1)-The player must be in POWER OFF condition;
2)-Then holding or long pressing [ESC/Return] button without release before connecting to computer
3)-Connect the player to computer with its USB (The screen of PMP will blink;)
4)-A portable device, for example H:\, appears in “my computer”, open it and search to find out the file “ROM_EXEC” which is the firmware of PMP, o just copy another new “ROM_EXEC” file properly for this player from the software CD or other sources and then to cover that already existed in this directory (Copy the new firmware to replace the old)
5)- Disconnect the player, upgrading finished.


After that, was imposible to access to "all" the device, only to the "firmware part" follow the previous steps, and never turn on again.

I thing that the firmware that come in the mini-cd was not from my mp4, but i can't find the original one (no backups ... :( )

I try the reset buttom that it has ... but nothing change.

hi again. i have more information.

when i connect the device in the "firmware mode" (holding pressing esc and then connecting .. the screen blinks, etc) windows see:

PMP STAR DANDx Uedisk DEvice
Large: 15.8 M in fat

inside there i can see a lots of *.rgb *.tab and some other things like a folder called "Frame", and some files like "PROGCODE", "room_boot" and the famous "ROM_EXEC" that is the firmware (it is what the manual said...).

Please, I need the original "ROM_EXEC" if anyone has this model or any data or tip, pease please mail me, send me a PM or post.

Please i'm desperate.

Where i can find info or the firmware from the sisis chips and for the Guizhi ones?

If you still need the ROM_EXEC, i can give you all the sdk-1.57 firmware, i have the NS-M835 from www.newstar8.com with the same SISIS ARM (S210C01)
