Bricked VX858 LE Knock-Off Help
 

I have been searching for the past 3 days and have not seen a similar situation as mine.

I borked my firmware upgrade by using the wrong firmware on my XV858 LE copy. When it powers up a clicking sound is constant from the speaker and any presses on the icons just shows an unlocking padlock animation.

Windows can see the the 2 drives (RockChip USB MP3 Device & RockChip SD USB Device) but for the life of me I cannot get the Consumer update to see the device.

I have shorted the memory chip pins until windows re-recognizes the device and the display shows kind of a computer monitor icon with a drive attached. (I was assuming this was the update screen). Consumer Update will not see the player to start the firmware update.
I have tried both 2.8.1 & 3.1.2.0 versions of Consumer Update and they both give the same results. I've also tried holding the menu button and all other buttons as the usb cable is plugged in. No matter what I have tried, the results are the same...Windows sees 2 drives, assigns them drive letters and the update software says no usb found.
