[solved] My GHOST MP4 Player

* Hi all. I'm a novice in this forum... First of all, happy new year to everyone! I'm Italian so scuse me for my bad english...

* I've bought 2 identical MP3/MP4 players from China... What's The problem? Simple! One player was working fine, the other not (blue screen). After having read some posts on the forum, I've decided to use S1FWX to "extract" the firmware from <<good>> and launh MP3 Update Tool to flash (with dump.bin) the <<dead>>. Bad idea... After doing this, I got a blue screen with hourglass and my 3 computers don't recognize anymore the player such as letter unit in file explorer. The best thing can happen when I connect the player to a computer (USB 1.1 or 2.0) is to see it like a "S1 ADFU Device". If I launch MP3 Update Tool, it continue to tell me "DEVICE NOT CONNECTED". Device has not a unit letter, so I can reflash it. :( I've tried to press one button while connecting to computer. Nothing. I try to short-circuit the memory chip several & several & several times. Nothing. :x So... :( :( :( :( :(

Re: My GHOST MP4 Player

Did you buy the mp4 player from the vendor www.triapower.eu? :?
My knowledge of Italian is small but it looks like you may be able to rma it back to them for repair or refund from what it says on that site. You can also download the firmware from there too :D

On triapower are bastard... My serial number appear to be already existing!!! So, no warranty for my player. :x Then, on the site there isn't a page for contacts to write o call them... :(

Hi PYCON,

Can you let us know what the resolution is? Did you end up restoring your player from the other player's firmware or did you end up getting it replaced under warranty?
