VX858_v0.0.21.rar. just killed my v1 !!!
 

ok, i have one ONDA vx858 SN : vx858eggv101791 and i just updated to ftp://ftp.onda.cn/download/driver/oa...58_v0.0.21.rar.

all worked fine ,i changed to english, i calibrate it, until i formated the internal memory ( FAT just 791M by xp sp2) . after that i hit the "video button" on main screen and player became frozen in main window (for about 20 min till now). What went wrong?? i updated the wrong firmware or what?? how can i force reset the player ? it/s going to restart after battery dies (now the lcd is always on, i think in 5 hours the battery will be empty). need help.

LE: my fault, it was just one of the many bugs the new firmware has. i just discovered the reset button (first i thought that is the mic hole but it/s a reset switch, just push it with a pin).
ok , i put back the old firmware (v17), repair the bad size of internal memory, changed again to the new firmware and now it works... no need to reformat after firmware upgrade ?!? impressing new features but the new firmware its full of problems: 2 crashes after setup eq, memory access problems, wolfson dac playback problem after setting to full the new bass (undersample or something like sound missing parts), realy a crappy work from onda guys. just pray and push the reset. good luck !!
