[solved] Processor broken?
Hi, I dowloaded and upgraded the firmware for my player(C203 with ATJ2097N,2Gb,2"TFT) from the producer's site, then from this site (exactly same firmware, Actions 9.0.48), but the player has the same white screen and the PC sees it as an ADFU device. When I tried the Actions 9.1.52, the player appeared as an USB Mass Storage Device. I don't know what to do anymore. COULD IT BE THAT THE PROCESSOR IS DAMAGED?The player looks like this:

gogomanu,,
your player is just bricked because u flashed it with incompatible firmware ..there is no way the processor is damaged...by flashing the player...do u still remember the previous working firmware..if u remember u can find it in the 9.x.x firmware download section....-[Here]. |
Keep in mind that the firmware version must also be compatible with your screen size. The 9.1.52 version you flashed probably has the USB library compatible with your player, thus you can use it as a flash drive now.
There's no way that the physical chips on the player could be damaged by a bad flash. |
Re: Processor broken?
Excuse me, but in what site you downloaded this firm?
Maybe have any that could help me... Thanks |
Re: Processor broken?
Thnx for the answers...the producer's site is http://www.sungworld.com/en/software_en.asp
Hope you can find something it works for you there. |
Re: Processor broken?
I was wondering if the processor is broken, because when I shortcut the memory chip, I shorcut the processor too (several times) - I didn't know about the recovery guide from this site, I was just trying to make this piece of **** work. I know that flashing with the wrong firmware can't harm the hardware :).
I also think that I have the right firmware, witch I upgraded with different versions of Mp3 Tools (not all versions, but almost all). Thank you for the advices anyway. (Excuse my english :D) |
I don't think it would die that easily.

Re: Processor broken?
Thanks Th3_uN1Qu3,
So I understand there's still hope. I'm just gonna wait for the right firmware to appear. :) |
Re: Processor broken?
Hi, I have a new problem :((. In the Device Manager, the computer sees it as "S1MP3 ADFU Driver", but the Mp3 Tools doesn't recognize it anymore. It doesn't appear in the taskbar (near the clock). My question is: Do I need another ADFU driver?
|
I solved the problem :D

Thanks for letting us know. How did you end up solving the problem? It would be good reference for other users to know how you solved it for next time. |
Re: [solved] Processor broken?
When I said "I solved the problem" I was talking about my computer not seeing the mp4 as an ADFU device in the taskbar (only as an S1MP3 ADFU Driver in the Device Manager). That was simple to solve...I updated the ADFU Driver and selected "No,not this time - Install from a list or specific location - Don't search, I will choose the driver to install". And then in the window that appeared (Compatible hardware) there were "S1MP3 ADFU" Driver and "USB 2.0 (HS) ADFU Device". I chosed the second one, and that was it.
Sorry if I made you missunderstand...The MAIN problem is still unsolved, but this site really gives me hope. Thanx again for your work |
Re: [solved] Processor broken?
Hi again....I'm begining to think that I'm the only posessor of this type of player (chip type, board type even display type). I really don't know what to do anymore, I tried all the firmwares and upgrade tools. I guess I'll try to wait for s1fw to upload some more firmwares on s1mp3.net . I hope he will find some for ATJ2097N . The firmware s1fw sent me (for B631 Board No.) was for a ATJ208x chip and of course it didn't work for my crappy mp4. Anyway thank you all for the feedbacks and replies
