Mostly Dead MP4 Player?
Alright so my MP4 player isn't really dead... Just mostly dead.
Basically, it will play music to a degree but the screen is just solid white when it comes on... There's nothing to be seen on it which makes navigation impossible (I didn't have it long enough to memorize how to navigate the folders). Apart from that, I can't get it to show as a valid and working drive on my system any more. It shows it as being unformatted and asks if I would like to format it when I try to open it. I found through a Data Recovery program that its apparently supposed to be in FAT16. So I'm basically looking for either of these things: - A way to fix/replace my screen - A way to get my PC to see the player so I can just upload songs into one huge folder so I can blindly navigate through songs. - Someone who can tell me basically which buttons to press to be able to change the folder. I've tried all sorts of combinations and can't get it to work. http://theprynce.net/2.jpghttp://theprynce.net/1.jpg Above are two images (terrible quality... I appologize) of the peice of crap in question. So again if anyone has a similar player and can tell me the button-by-button way to navigate folders (I find this the most likely option of the ones listed above lol), I'd be very thankful. Thanks in advance! And if I posted this in an incorrect forum let me know. -=The Prynce |
Re: Mostly Dead MP4 Player?
You are saying to reset the hardchip of Onda VX858LE in order the computer to recognize the player. But when I connect the player, the computer recognize it, but the upgrade doesn't take place. I can't upgrade the player.
Last week I made mistake and upgrade it with the firmware of VX858 instead of VX858LE. |
