Dikom MP4-FD firmware needed!!! chip is AK 1025
 

Hi,
I cannot find the firmware for my MP4-FD by Dikom.

On board there is the code TCH. B856MAIN_V2
Mamory Flash is Samsung 719

Yes, I did: there is a file named firmware but there are only tools to upgrade and format the player but no Firmware to replace a broken one.
I wrote them to ask a valid Firmware but still I have no answer from Dikom.

You're right Gamberetto. Even though from the site, the download is labelled "firmware", it's actually the MP3 Player Utilities software instead and no firmware in that file at all.

Do you remember what firmware VERSION your player has?

I guess the firmware Core was ACT_9.0.50 with date 2006/01/11 (I think)

But I cannot remember any other number.

I already tried with 9.0.50 firmwares I found in this site and other sites, but the only thing I reached is to be able to see the disk storage in Windows but nothing on the display!

PS: Is it possible that the producer (wich I've already mailed) sends me the original firmware? What about your experience about this?

I spoke with the producers of my mp4 (SungWorld) and they said they will send me the firmware, but it will cost 20$ :) . I hope you'll have more luck than me.

I hope so, but they didn`t answer me yet. I`m thinking about to buy again the same player. Maybe I can extract the firmware.

I extracted the firmware with s1fwx before doing any upgrade but then I found it doesn`t work with 9.0.50 firmware :?

I had no answer from producer... I bought another one!
I tried to clone the firmware with s1clone, but I obtain a 660MB file insteade of about 7-10MB!!! Before extracting the firmware I formatted the disk with windows. Maybe this have something to do with the size of the firmware.
Do someone have an idea?

I found that I can read correctly my firmware with s1res version 3.2 but this is not free!!! Does anybody know another tool that can do the same job???
