my mp4 player is absolutely dead!

Hi!
I successfuly killed my mp4 player thanks for a firmware that was not for this seltronic product. The computer can't recognize the player at all. If I connect it to the computer, the backlight appears, and nothing else. Can someone help me?

It has Samsung K9G8G08U0M
and ATJ2097H ICs.
1.8",fm radio...

I've been able to make my computer recognize my player following this guide:

It is supposed to open the player and do some dirty stuff.
The harder thing is to find the right firmware to upload on the player!!!

Which is the model / producer... do you have a link with a photo?

It's a Seltronic mp4 player

Have a look at this post here: Largest search engine for firmware - en.s1mp3.net.

There is a large database of firmware files available which you can search based on your board, processor and chip numbers. They have a larger database than we do, so you might have a better chance of finding the corrrect firmware fo your player.

Have a read of that post, find your board numbers than do a search on that site for it.
