The best way to find firmware is to search by:

1. The board of PCB

2. The display screen, waiting online or in the side of the screen

3. Master models S1 MP3 PLAY use ATJ2091 ATJ2093 ATJ2097 CTW500 ACU7513 ACU7515 ACU7503 ATJ2135

The most convenient way is to search for PLATE information, such as plate, JB91B11V10 firmware can directly search 91 B11, and not search complete information!
Many are generic firmware. Just the front are the factory codes. Then find a suitable display their own firmware can be!

Based on the above information we can find a useful firmware!

I can see a lot of members making good use of this.

I had to translate it from Chinese to English using Google Lanugage Tool, but it works fine.

I do have some questions for you:

• Sometimes when I try to download a firmware, it asks for a username and password. What are they?
  
• Are there any TOOLS available to modify the firmware/customise it? What about other tools that are helpful that we can download?
  
• Is this a FREE service? I noticed some areas I can download the firmware file, while some areas it asks for a username/password and some are labelled as "fee" area. How much are the memberships and what does the memberships give us?

I appreciate you sharing this with us and hopefully members here can make good use of it.

I tried a few fw's from your site to see what happens but the upgrade tool gives an error message about protocol not the same as previous version with them all.

i have a mp4 with actions chip ATJ2091N fw 9.0.50, plate QY-793FV2 and screen 1.8. I find 3 FW but all are 1.5 where do i find this fw but 1.8 screen? another question can we find tools to edit, mod FW. thanks for your answer and help

Is it best to search by "Control", "Plate" or "Screen" numbers? Or by all of them?

Also, what is a "Control" number?

From what I can tell, he wants the control number which is the Processor e.g. AK1025

I'll post a couple of images of my mp4 if I can as I don't find the correct firmware yet, I find it for correct plate but not for ak1025

some FW i didn't find QY-960FV2, QY-693FV2, QY052FV2, and others are for atj 2085H: QY-030FV2, atj 2091M: QY-042FV2 and this is not QY, is KTJ781FV2. My chip is ATJ2091N screen 1.8". And i need a tool to mod the boot, end and logos menu, there is a tool or soft to mod actions chip? i know that some FW actions are encryted how can we dencryted? what is mean CMxxxxx in the FW name

I did try to find a firmware before posting, and I didn't find anything searching by my pcb number (TCH B631). When I searched by the chip (ATJ2097), I found 4 firmwares witch I couldn't download (it said "530 not logged in"). I'll try to search by my display number(s)(I don't know witch one to pick).

I have another question: My computer now sees the mp4 like a S1MP3 ADFU Driver but only in the Device Manager tab, it doesn't appear as a Plug and Play Device in the taskbar anymore. The Mp3Tools don't see it. Should I replace the Adfu driver?

Thanx s1fw, I tried the firmware you sent me but the player is still white screen. I flashed it with Mp3Tools 4.13. The firmware is 9.0.43 and I opened it with s1res...it looks just like the one the player had when it was working. The original firmware it had was 9.0.48. Can it be that my ATJ2097N chip is broken? Thank you again. I'll give you the numbers again:

Hi again, I searched on s1mp3.net "b631" and I found the file...but it's a ATJ208X chip....mine is ATJ2097N....thats why it's not working. Tnx again, I'll keep waiting and trying

Have been trying to download firmware for my AK1022 based Glacier clone 1GB with Samsung 725 K9G8G0xxxx flash memory (no board number visible.
I navigate from http://en.s1mp3.net/ to the Actions AK1022 list, but when I click on the download link I get "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" etc.
Is there anything I'm missing - can anyone help?

It worked for me and I was able to download the firmware files....

Is the error happening with ALL files or just some?

I can get to the page showing the list of firmware, but every one I have clicked on so far gives the "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" message. Anything else you can think of? Can you actually download any of these?
Any ideas?

All links work fine for me. Try ditching IE and using Opera or Firefox. :D

I have a mp4 dead:

Board: Is writh in the plate k918h2v2m and in the plate of buttons is write k918v0k1. so it´s my problem are.

i try this 2 boards and don´t work the display drive. so i need a firmware for this display and chip. the original firmware was 9.0.50 version.
Is a like IPOD 2 generation with 5 butons.

I can download them fine. I just clicked a few random ones and they download fine.

I am using Internet Explorer 7.0. What version are you using? You can also try another browser instead, such as Mozilla to see if that works.

Point taken, I was able to get them using a Linux pc. Not found the correct fw yet though. Now have the board ID & screen numbers so will see if this helps....

Hi again....I'm begining to think that I'm the only posessor of this type of player (chip type, board type even display type). I really don't know what to do anymore, I tried all the firmwares and upgrade tools. I guess I'll try to wait for s1fw to upload some more firmwares on s1mp3.net . I hope he will find some for ATJ2097N . The firmware s1fw sent me (for B631 Board No.) was for a ATJ208x chip and of course it didn't work for my crappy mp4. Anyway thank you all for the feedbacks and replies

OK, I dismantled my Glacier clone & have the following spec:

AK1022 processor
Samsung 1GB flash chip (K9G8G0...)
ZX-923M-TLS V2.0 2007.03.27 is main board i/d.
DMT0104FPC-A1 0726 is display (2 inch screen)
- Alternative screen display i/d number is DMT0104BL - 20 - 3P - A SG070712 N0707 - 01 - 08

Has anyone a close match of spec for this? Anyone got any suggestions for firmware - I must have tried over 100 !

I have gone to s1mp3.net (the chinese site NOT the s1mp3.net/en one and done a search using the term 923M and there are 2 results but I cannot get at them - it says I need to be logged on. Can anyone get at these firmwares and post them somewhere?
