fash possible and still possible to use as USB-drive?
Hi!
A general question: I have tried to revive my dead player (Unirex, 1 GB, 2 inch disiplay) and I think I have burtn my flash wile I tried to get it into the recovery-mode. Strange thing: I can use my player still as USB-drive wit a capacity of 1 GB. My question: Is it possible that the flash is destroyed, but nevertheless the device can still work as normal USB-drive? Or - does the fact that the device still works as USB-drive mean that the flash is not burnt and still working(that's what I hope)? thanks for your help, schroedinger |
schroedinger,
i'm not very sure bout this...maybe the firmware of the player(i mean for the mp4) is corrupted..but the MASS STORAGE(USB) driver is still okay.. |
Re: fash possible and still possible to use as USB-drive?
Hi gaboon,
thank you. yesterday I also realized the following: - it is still possible to put the player into recovery-mode (with ADFU driver) - when I tried to flash a new firmway I always (no matter which firmware I try) the message from s1clone (and s1res) "no flash chip detected". I guess that's an indication that my flash is really gone. schroedinger |
