Hi zrock,

Can the s1fwx tool (available for download from this site in the "Tools" section) detect your player? If so, what does it show?

Have you also tried the other firmware files from OUR site as well? I would be interested to see what happens there and whether you get the same error message.

The other option is have a look at this post here --> Recommendation: Try different MP3 Player Utilities.

Maybe you need to try a different version of the MP3 Player Utilities?

hello admin..my player is in ADFU mode already for almost a year and all i need is to flash a compatible firmware and when i found it in (en.s1mp3.net) i expect that my player would be relive finally but that error message gets in the way..yes i tried all the firmwares on the download section here in mympxplayer.org and that error message does not appear unlike the firmwares on en.s1mp3.net but still none one of the firmwares here fits my player..i tried to download most of the firmware in en.s1mp3.net maybe 20+ randomly choose firmwares and still got the same error message all the time..but so far i havent used all versions of mp3 utilities..i'll try it..hope it will work..tnx for the advice..

Default tried all versions of mp3 utilities but none of those works

hello there s1fw and admin..i have tried already all the versions of mp3

utilities from version 1.28 to 4.15 but none of those works for the firmwares

on en.s1mp3.net..still i got those error messages when i select the

firmware..for the older versions the error message goes like this "Invalid

upgrade firmware file" & "Read or write device information failed! Please exit

the program and check if device is connecting" and for the new versions of

upgrade tool goes like this "The firmwares protocol is not the same as the

previous firmwares, please exit the tool and select the firmware"..NOTE

THAT ITS ONLY THE FIRMWARES ON en.s1mp3.net HAVE THIS ERROR

MESSAGES THING AND ALMOST ALL OF THE FIRMWARES THERE HAVE

THIS SAME PROBLEM..maybe you guys should try for yourselves to run a

upgrade tool and select one of the firmwares in en.s1mp3.net and for sure

you will got that same error messages im reffering to..

hope this problem will be fixed because en.s1mp3.net would be very very

useful for users with dead s1 players to relive their player..

Zrock, try to delete the unknown (chinese) characters in the name of the file s1fw sent you, not the "fw" extension . Hope it works

Hi there, I'm very very glad to hear your mp4 is back to life. That thing (deleting the characters) I knew it from my own experience. Unfortunately I don't really know how to fix the button problem....I haven't run into that (yet) because my player is still dead . Try asking admin or tadad or people who really know what they're doing....I'm still a rookie in this business and all I know is from my own mistakes . Good luck
