My Player is dead!!!

Im not so good in English but i have a big problem. My MP4-Player is dead. When I turn it on, there is only a white screen and then nothing. And this is not the big Problem, the big one is that when I plug in the mP4-player to my Computer he shows him, but I cant format it or delete anything from it, when I will do this he says, (the Player is write-protected, turn the protection off or choose a different player). :idea:
