my mp4 player SONY (FAKE) TD-98 I TRIED UPDATING MY FIRMWARE VERSION WITH MANY YESTERDAY I HAD JUST A BLUE SCREEN BUT TODAY AFTER UPDATING IT BECOME TOTALLY DEAD IT NOT RECOGNIESD BY MY SYSTEM TOO........ MY MOM WILL KILL ME IF SHE COMES TO KNOW ABOUT THIS AS I AM JUST 14 YRS OLD......PLZ HELP ME HOW DO I GET MY PLAYER BACK..PLEASE :oops: :cry: :( :oops: :oops: :oops: :oops: :oops: :oops: :cry: :cry: :cry:

Hi gkmutha,

You will need to do the following firstly:

1. Open up your player, run through the Dead Player Recovery Guide (at the top of this forum section as a "sticky") to recover your player.

2. Then post your player's board ID.

3. Try searching for your firmware on our [Downloads] section - link on the left hand side. Got to [Firmware] and try to find it here or search for it using the "Search Downloads" on the left hand side menu bar too.

4. If you are unsuccessful, have a look at this post here as well -> S1 MP3 PLAYER firmware download sites- en.s1mp3.net.


Hope that helps.

But more importantly, you need to find out MORE INFORMATION about your player and that involves opening up your player.
