mp3 not recognized by computer
http://www.overstock.com/Electronics...5/product.html
my mp3 player looks identical to that. i bought it off of a friend so the only thing i got with it is the player, nothing else. ive had it a few days been working fine but i was listening to music and all the sudden its stuck on the hourglass screen and not in explorer. i went thought all the stops on the dead players guide, i have it all the way to where windows recognizes it as USB 2.0 (hs) adfu device, but it wont go into recover mode when i load up the mp3 updater program. the program is still not recognizing the device at all. i just bought this thing and i dont want my $ to have gone to waste, only used it like 3 times =(. help if you can please. |
now when i put in my mp3 its being recognized as this:
actions usb 2.0 [hs] winusb device -.-;; wtf is this |
Re: mp3 not recognized by computer
some help would be lovely =(

hey there paull..when you run the mp3 update program you should chose a compatible firmware file thats FW file to recover your player..disassemble your player and post here all the infos(written characters) inside your player..especially the board id so that it will be easy to find a solution..okay..
|
uhh well its not exactly my mp3 player yet, i was using it and possibly buying it off of my friend and ive yet to pay him, and i dont think taking it apart would be the best idea in case i mess it up even more.
the mp3 update program isnt even recognizing that its plugged in as a adfu, so even if i had the right one it wouldnt work. it did let me try to update it as a action thing but it wouldnt finish or would say the device needs to be re-connected. |
so i took it apart but its nothing like the one that showed what was what inside it so heres all the numbers i see.
a sticker with aftj3070618107 little black thing with samsung 722 k9g8g08uom pcbo csd27710 a smaller black thing and silver things coming from all 4 sides acu7513then there are some more numbers to tiny for me to read.. if i need these ill get a magnifying glass.. on either side of it when i raise it up is more numbers/letters h07045046070609ahb and on the other 128128a0g2 b-2 070526rohs and theres a yellow thing (pretty sure its the battery) xk402035 ce29a 3.7v 230 mah and thats the only things i see... |
okay paull..your friend's player is simply as dead but dont worry there can be hope for reliving you player..your player has ACU7513 RAM and it has a 1.5 display..its definitely uses a version 9.xx.xx firmware..for you the best to do is follow the DEAD RECOVERY GUIDE and if you need a firmware you just have to try all the version 9.xx.xx firmwares that can be found on the download section..
goodluck!! |
omg thank you so much! the firmware i just tried didnt work, but i got it as far as windows recognizing it. thanks again, hopefully ill have it fixed by next time i see my friend lol.

k still a few more questions. i dont have a backup dump.bin from my player, so ill need a full fw.
uhh. ive tried like them all, i had a few at least give me a colored screen and i could put stuff on it but i never got a menu or anything so i coudlnt do anything with it. that was after just a full fw upgrade, do i also need a dump.bin to load after the full one? anyone have a slight idea which fw might work for me? |
hi there paull..good effort you got their..the firmware you have tried that give you a colored screen and you can put stuff on it but without a menu tells that the firmware is compatible either your RAM or the FLASH but not with the LCD of your player..if you have the dump.bin much better chance along with the full one..but if you have the full fw its all you need to recover your player..
have you tried the ACU7153 firmwares at en.s1mp3.net?..give it a try..you know this thing recovering a s1 player works on a trial and error method..you just have a little patience on yourself..you know what i mean..:) by the way,is that all info you can give bout your player?..can you find the board id of it?..havent seen it in your post..i think.. |
