Hi ayni,

Have you tried FORMATTING your player?
Sometimes the "format error" happens because of a corruption in the file system or a sign of a 'hacked player.

Hi there and thanks for the quick response. i did tried formating it and it just goes back to disk error when accessing through the player itself. my player has a memory info and it displays 962mb before but after it had disk errors it now shows 0mb. it can be formatted but it just goes back after it restarts connecting to pc. i even tried the how to: remove memory hack. nothing goes well so far. only he fm feature works.

thanks ill keep posted if anyone would help further. tnx for the response again.

hi there ayni..you should format your player in a full mode..reflashing a firmware will not do the trick..youll end up with the dead player if you do so..

i did format my player but as soon as it reconnects i get the same error again and the formatted disk goes back to 0mb capacity. property shows its a raw drive and im again prompted for it to format whenever i get to click the drive letter assigned to it. i was wondering if there is ever a chance it should work again. ill keep in touch and hopefully i can get help. to those who helped bunch of thanks.

Start up MP3 Utilities Disk Tool.

Ensure that you select LOW Format Type.

Next, go to the Partition and Encrypt tab as shown below.

Slide the Partition slider to the Left, and click on Start.

You will repeat the process and the "Complete setting disk partition!" dialog box would appear.

Then Format again your player on Windows..

experiencing the same problem also after recovering a firmware. its 1gb and looks like its not hacked bit im wondering why there are 2 drives recognized one is a CD driver and the other a removable drive with 962mb. I can copy mp3 files on it but it will display a disk error when accessing the Music menu on the player. Likewise it reflects 00M on the Memory Info menu.
