Hi urbanrobert2..

Have a look at this post here: S1 MP3 PLAYER firmware download sites- en.s1mp3.net.

It will require you to open up your player though to find the board and chipset numbers/versions.

This will help more in finding a compatible firmware.

Try the firmwares that parameter's are close to your dead player.You know this "recovering a dead player" thing works on a trial and error method.You should have a little patience on yourself.Then,determination.
