Re: dead mp4 player stuck on blue hour glass screen
It was probably hacked to show 8 Gb, so yes, you have to format it in windows. You can find the real capacity of your player's memory by opening it, on the big chip (samsung or hynix) you'll find a code. Compare it with these ones here http://s1mp3.org/en/docs_hwspecs.php#flash . Read this too http://www.mympxplayer.org/1-vt2400....r=asc&&start=0 Good luck

i managed to format it and it is really hacked i think cause now it shows 3.8GB instead of 8GB. but the player's screen is still blank. the player now works fine as a usb memory but the player won't switch on. is it because i used a wrong firmware?

Hi there jimmys, yes probably you have flashed a "not so" compatible firmware to your player, the firmwares doesn't matches the LCD of your player.
|
can anyone tell me what's the right firmware to use? i tried the above two but no good and i really searched hard but didn't find one that matches my player's characteristics..
|
jimmys, your player would be using the v9.0.xx series firmwares here: http://www.mympxplayer.org/actions-9...mare-dc37.html
As there is no way of telling which firmware would work with your player, you'll need to try all of them. Good luck. |
