dead mp4 player stuck on blue hour glass screen
hello.
i have a dead mp4 player (stacked in blue hourglass screen). i 'd like to fix it by installing a new firmware but when using the MP3 player upgrade tool it does not recognize my player although i have installed the adfu driver.. what should i do? thanks |
Hi there jimmys, what you mean its not recognized? You mean the error message "Device Not Detected" appears when you run the upgrade tool?Do you have already the suitable firmware for your player?
no error message appers.. the Begin Upgrading button cannot be pressed.. i believe i have found the firmware. do i have to select the right firmware for the button Begin Upgrading to be available to press? and about the adfu driver is it generic?
the firmware you have found is not compatible for your player.
try also using different versions of the upgrader tool. sometimes older version of the upgrade tool wont work with newer firmware (based on my observation).
can you please tell me if you know what's the right firmware.. my player is mp4 3rd generation 8gb with fm and 1.8" display.. the chip is
AK1025 7K083AB 0KP on board says 2002 02 18VER: A and B0-25002 and on screen says BG999100-A-V0.0v W 071221/A5 and OEM-101C-NL-WD-HSVSI01 |
i try to use mp3 player utility 4.12 but when i select any of the two files the program crashes with the message that it stopped working.. something i remembered is that when the player was wokring i had check the firmware version and it was 9.1.52
since the unsuccessful attempt with 4.12 the blue hourglass screen is gone and now it's just blank screen..
i managed to work mp3 player utility 3.06 but the two firmwares i used failed to install.. do you know if there is any other firmware i can use? with 4.25 the firmware is installed and the player is recognized as a removable usb device but with no capacity. do i have to format it through windows? what's the next step? thanks interuptor0 for your help! |
Re: dead mp4 player stuck on blue hour glass screen
It was probably hacked to show 8 Gb, so yes, you have to format it in windows. You can find the real capacity of your player's memory by opening it, on the big chip (samsung or hynix) you'll find a code. Compare it with these ones here http://s1mp3.org/en/docs_hwspecs.php#flash . Read this too http://www.mympxplayer.org/1-vt2400....r=asc&&start=0 Good luck

i managed to format it and it is really hacked i think cause now it shows 3.8GB instead of 8GB. but the player's screen is still blank. the player now works fine as a usb memory but the player won't switch on. is it because i used a wrong firmware?
Hi there jimmys, yes probably you have flashed a "not so" compatible firmware to your player, the firmwares doesn't matches the LCD of your player.
can anyone tell me what's the right firmware to use? i tried the above two but no good and i really searched hard but didn't find one that matches my player's characteristics..
jimmys, your player would be using the v9.0.xx series firmwares here: http://www.mympxplayer.org/actions-9...mare-dc37.html
As there is no way of telling which firmware would work with your player, you'll need to try all of them. Good luck. |
firmware not compatible with LCD. can't help further. sorry. u have to search more firmware to try, good luck.
