Default "insert usb line to use usbdisk press any key to restar

this is my ipod

when i turn it on the display on the screen will say

insert usb line to use usbdisk
press any key to restart!

and when i press any key it will shutdown...

any idea how to fix this problem?

ckmiller,try first what salarsat suggested.If your player can be detected on the computer as a REMOVABLE DRIVE try to scan for viruses using this anti-virus below:
