Help with getting into adfu mode
 
Hi Everyone

i need help fixing my mp4 player i uploaded a custom firmware now its stuck at the hourglass screen ive got it open ive flicked the pins i once got it stuck on a black screen but nothing on computer. RIGHT NOW it is on hourglass its open but on device manager it is in Others devices called usb device with yellow exclamation all i need is help to get it into adfu mode and i can take it from there but can help if like

moneybankz,what type of player do you have?Shorting again the pins will do the trick its quite random you need to do it a few times.And when asked for ADFU driver always use the RECOMMENDED option.

thanks for help spent 2 hours trying but still didnt come up and the battery broke off

use other battery if you have an extra one.You can use any 3.6V or 3.7V Lithium-Ion cellphone battery.Take it easy don't feel the rush. :)

moneybankz,if you have soldering skill just connect back the positive & negative wires of the battery to the positive & negative power terminal of your player.

WARNING: do not short-circuit the battery.

thanks for the help but i already did it and changed it adfu server but now i can find my firmware if you can help my player is a 2nd gen ipod nano
