[SOLVED] pc detect as s1mp3 adfu driver

Player is blocked (hourglass). I know the deadplayer guide.

But the pc detect the player as s1mp3 adfu driver instead of

USB 2.0 (HS) ADFU Device.

And I think it is not the good starting point to upgrade the firmware ( in fact I cannot ) .

As I connect the player xp recognise it in this way .

What can I do to force the pc to recognize it as USB 2.0 (HS) ADFU Device.?

(I've already tried to change the PIDs )

Thank you friends

the main problem with s1mp3 players is that firmware update tool can't recognize the player installed on "libusb" driver. so i took usual "ADFU" driver and renamed directory and file names, like "libusb" driver has. now firmware update tool recognize player, and i successfully upgrade it with active 9.0.50 firmware version

adfu - driver used by windows to recognize USB 2.0 (HS) ADFU Device (it has two files: adfu.inf & adfuud.sys)
libusb - driver used by windows to recognize s1mp3 device (it has three files: s1mp3.inf, libusb0.sys & libusb0.dll)
you can find both of them in s1res v 3.6
"rename" means, when u take adfuud.sys and manually putting other name, in our case it is libusb0.sys
and adfu.inf to s1mp3.inf
libusb0.dll is the same.

funniest is that u never knows wich one is adfu device and s1mp3 device.
I have two similar players, but one's sdfu device (assistant), other is s1mp3 device (iXtone)

ive been having the same problem, so i installed my mp4 playe ron another pc and it worked, and in doing so i realised what i had been doing wrong...

when installed your mp3/mp4 player...

1. wen the first sintallation screen comes up, click '3. no not this time'

2. then select 'install from a specific location'

3. select 'dont search i will find the driver myself'

4. then you should see a list of devices, select ''USB 2.0 (HS) ADFU Device' then click next

it should install, when the error comes up just click 'continue anyway'

after that the upgrade tool finally detected my player, but so far i hav'nt been able to find a compatible firmware

i did wat makavelithadon said but in compatible devices my computer shows only s1mp3 ADFU device but i downloaded an SWAN libusb driver and did the same trick, unexpectedly my pc found USB 2.0 (HS) ADFU Device but when i click next it says incompatible driver and could not be installed.

so problem still exits.

which player you have and which upgrade tool u r using ?
