Default Player's files not detected by firmware.

I have a pretty old 128mb mp3 player. It is called Gemini and I think it looks like those old Sony players with a b/w display. It looks more like a pendrive with a small display. When files are transfered, the player does not detect them, it just says 'no files' like there are none present. The files exist, however. Is there any way to solve this problem by upgrading the firmware? I do not know its firmware or how to upgrade it, but its version is given as v1.5_S320A1F. Please help.
