a question: How do you make a "Backup" of your actual and functioning firmware, from your MP4?

Re: Recommendation

NPU,
You should use S1CLONE or S1FWX. But be aware that those could not work with some versions of fw.
I have a fake Ipod gen.3, fw 9.1.52 and couldnīt extract it. :(

Regards,
Sergio

Re: Recommendation

Marco16,
I tried to extract from a working device. It should never be detected as ADFU. This mode is detected when reset the memory and is ready to upload the fw.

Sergio

NPU

En la carpeta descargada de S1FWX hay un archivo llamado repair.bin.
Ese archivo te hace un backup (Copia de seguridad) del firmware.

Espero que te sirva

Re: Recommendation

Marco16,
I have 2 players. Those are fake IPOD nano gen.3. One is dead and the other one working well.
Processor is AK1025 and FW 9.1.52. But Couldnīt find the exact full FW version yet, so as to upload with the Player Utilities.
The working MP4 has the FW version I need to revive the dead one, but not found the right tool to extract and upload into the dead device :(

I believe I have to wait. Donīt see other choice.

Regards,
Sergio
