Black Screen - Dead - Nano clone - USB device found but no
I have a Nano clone with the 1.8 screen with 4gb. which is now a black screen brick.
It had firmware Actions firmware 9.0.50 and I figured I was smart enough to update to 9.1.52 - it says it updated successfully however, I apparently used the wrong one as it says it was for ACU7515. I've followed the restore walk through in the knowledgebase but to no avail.. when I get to te part up installing the driver, it only tells me that the adfuupdate.inf is not a match for my usb device. :( Yet, USB is recognized when I do the metal contact sweep on the chip as described.. so i suppose that's good. but NO drive letter... therefore no fixing the firmware. My player is currently disassembled and I can see the numbers as follows. My CHIP: Samsung 713 K9LAG08U0M PCB0 I told myself I should have taken a screenshot of that s1fwx screen after it read it all but wouldnt let me save it out without forking out $25 to register. Frustrating!! I went down this road simply because the players was sluggish with even less than 1gb of artist folders and album folders in those folders and songs in those folders... it was timing-out and behaving retarded as the directory structure was seemingly more than it could handle. Seriously? Do we have to have all the mp3s in the root folder in order for this player to function properly. So far it's been a waste of money and time. I've simply hoped to not be defeated by this and hope to improve it / fix it with an updated firmware... if I can get that far. hey dezingntek by any chance do you know your firmware number should be somthing like 9.1.smthng.smthng.smthng
thanks |
dezigntek, when installing ADFU driver always use the RECOMMENDED option assuming you have the latest Mp3 Utilities Tool installed in your computer.
|
moneybankz: It had firmware Actions firmware 9.0.50 - hope that helps if you can offer any further advice.
zrock: I always DO try to used the recommended option however it comes back with no matches found. :( then I try to choose a specific .ini but to no avail. |
i had the same problem and you must find the mp4 address from the device manager and then enter it into the adfu

OK FELLAS! !:)
I'm not sure what I did. .but I ended up doing a reinstall of mp3utilitiestool and then a reboot and the drivers installed! So that's Great! However, now I'm looking for the correct firmware for my 4gb wilsons action 9.0.50 device.?? did I state that right? I'm doing somewhat I can recall from memory at this point. It's been a slim brick for a few weeks now. :( The device picture above is my (wifes) player if that helps. 1.8" color screen and all. THANK YOU!! |
