Plz Help Me, New one here with my almost dead S1 Mp3 player

I have a S1 Mp3 Player (Wilson Co. Ltd) 512 MB (Maybe Chinese).

It’s Firmware version – 9.0.43. (According to MP3 Player Upgrade Tool)

But In the “S1clone” Soft it’s showing –

device is in recovery state!
v9-device detected!
giveio version: 3.0
Flash chip 2584DCAD HYNIX/SAMSUNG 512MB (SBF)

Now my sad story starts………….

Recently when I start my player I got an error message “Disk Error” But the menu was working. I was only unable to get into the music section to play my songs. Then when I connect it with my pc, my windows Xp shows “The disk is not formatted ” this kind of message. But I did not format my player. I thought may be my player’s firmware is corrupted. So I start searching in the Google and found this site.

Then I download “MP3 Player Utilities” to update or to repair my player.
From “MP3 Player Upgrade Tool” I got my player firmware information -

S1 Mp3 Player
Wilson Co. Ltd
Firmware version – 9.0.43

Then I found a firmware to repair my player. The file was – “3.0.42.bin” only 15.4 KB !!!

I open it with the “MP3 Player Upgrade Tool”. This software shows that this firmware information was exact match with my player firmware version. So I start installing the new firmware. But when it’s done I got complete disaster!

My player only open with a blank blue screen with no menu in it. And my windows Xp were unable to recognize the new USB device.

My big mistake was I did not make a backup of my firmware!!!

After a little bit of research on the net I found “S1Clone Software” may help me so I installed it. After installing this tool, Windows Xp was able to recognize the device as a - “S1Mp3 ADFU Driver” Showing in my device manager.

But MP3 Player Upgrade Tool Showing - “Device not detected”


S1clone is now showing that my player is in –

recovery state!

giveio version: 3.0
Flash chip 2584DCAD HYNIX/SAMSUNG 512MB (SBF)

I don’t know what “giveio” mean?

But I did found a firmware “Glacier 9.0.43” in this website.

Also don’t know what Glacier means. And what is the different between Glacier & Giveio?

I try to install this firmware but it did not match.

I also open my player cover and only found a model no - XY6J 08A

I did not found any clue on the net with this model no.

Also not finding any “giveio” named firmware with the file version 9.0.43 or version 3.0

Now can anybody please help me to solve my problem?

Also please tell me how I can install the new fresh firmware perfectly

Jamil,you should have posted the " disk error " problem right away then.You have just taken the solution in your own hands so you have done a complete disaster by killing your player.But don't worry theres a recovery guide.Follow the link below for you to find your firmware.Goodluck!

Bro I manage to open my player and got some information from the chipset

In the big chip I got this –

And in the small ship I got this –

ATJ2091H

F9185F

C4G OR C4C (Not sure it’s G or C)

Just to remember that My S1 Mp3 Player (Wilson Co. Ltd) is a 512 MB Mp3 player not Mp4 Player and it’s not have any Fm radio in it.

It’s may be 2 to 3 years old player.

Firmware version 9.0.43

Now can any one help me to find out this firmware?

I also need to know how to install the firmware because my player is in recovery mode and Mp3 player upgrade tool showing – “device not detected”
