Dead MP4 Player - ATJ2091H

I have an MP4 player that is Laser Brand (not that it matters, it's still an s1mp3 player!). While uploading my modified firmware to it, my dog ran past the cable that was plugged in to the computer and it yanked out. Because it never finished uploading the firmware, it now has problems. I switch it on and it only shows the hourglass. I have tried everything. I have even tried (many times) to put it into recovery mode by putting metal on the chip points. I would really love any help as the MP3 Upgrade Tool does not detect the player.

Although, when I plug it into the computer (Windows XP), it recognises it as an ADFU Driver, rather than an ADFU server, so that's no help. It has an ATJ2091H CPU chip and a Samsung K9HAG08U1M Memory chip (2gb). Thank you in advance for any help.
