demetris
have you tried to get to the hidden partition of your player by the rkusbtag method see link for the file http://www.ebay.vpunk.co.uk/rkusb.7z just place this is the root of the internal memory disconnect the player turn player off reconnect the player and wiat for windows to recognize it hopefully you should see the hidden partition space and the folders of which you refer let me know if you see the partiton well a spoilt child is something i have not been called in a long time i got angry at your reply through misinterpretation and the phrase "if you knew better" as i do no better and i rather arrogantly know quite alot, i was offended but only because i misunderstood you so apologies also and lets tryy and sort this out together |

I've tried a couple different ones but none of them working lol..or works just so.. so... can you pls up it in the user upload section as it prolly other ppl we'll be in need of that firmware.. looks like many ppl got suckered into this player.. but believe it or not.. the player itself is very kewl. same chips and core chips and fm chips as many "high end" of this kind.. The RK2706 is really one of the best chips out right now for these mp4-mp5 players..but the duped firmware by these no name companies are ruining the whole mp4 scene ... lol thnx bro..:) p.s I'm sry guys .. I've lost everything in day 1 since I've tried to connect my Tflash and the damned thing resetted on me.. Like I've said, it had some solder splash on the Tsops and prolly by inserting the Tflash had the board moved a bit and caused the Tsops to short out and therefore I haven't had a chance to save anything. Thats the reason why I'm lookin' for the firmware. And really! I really appreciate yer help you guys , giving back to the community. :) You guys rock ;) if you guys got a firmware for me , pls add me to yer live messenger for easier file transfer..alteans_at_hotmail_dot_com. thnx :) and one more thing.. No Flames pls.. I like you guys alltogether as you are, so pls lets not turn this community into the White House Senate .. lmao ;) |

i hav asked tinydeal direct to simply provide the firmware fr this player as they sell it and also are the ebay sellers for this device, so i am hoping gthe will either send it to me asap or post it in their download section
i have also ordered one of these as i want to see the quality for myself as this player is becoming fast popular like the onda 858 fakes/clones did, but this player should hopefully not cause as much grief as that one did!!! will let you know if they respond with a firmware i have also asked them, though i am sure they will not, to mark the player as not being an unbranded Onda vx747 player on my other site i mod on we have had a few people with this player who have bought this player thinking it a cheap route to the onda player and expecting to utilise all the onda firmwares and hacks etc, but of course hey can not as the onda uses a totally different chip (ingenics) to the rockchip in this player also i am interested n what they put n the firmware for these players, does it have the video resume feature for example that is part of later rockchip updates Also we need to find out how mny factories are making this player, if ther are multiple factorie then its a possibility that firmwares wil be different, not a major problem as these player in general do not let you do an upfrade to the wrong firmware so may not be a major problem, wil have to wait and see |
Re: Rockchip RK2706 player now only has a 60Megs partition
makd511..
this player ain''t any onda. you can bet yer boots on it ;) the hardware is very simple and to put firmware on it also very simple. I'm using the RK27 ver. 2.5 tool on it, and it works every single time. as a matter of fact if get it empty,(the 60 meg area) you can format it under ntfs, then just put yer dirs on it and off you go. But I strongly recommend to use the tool as it also loads the boot.bin and saves you all the manual fiddling and the b.s workaround to get it running right. I've must of reflashed it at least 20 times al ready with diff firmwares. none of them really worked or some just half ass way. I think the main problem lies with the touch navigation. you need to have a proper driver loaded and IT MUST BE the right one to it. one thing..with the right tools you can costumize the hell out of it ..;) I just need Demetris to pass along his firmware for me, so I could get down and dirty..lol Anywhoo. Like I've said I just need the right firmware to get it started up. I was thinking diff hardware mods to it.. like a TV out and some other ones, but space is limited. I have typed out a beginners guide to flash with the RK27 tool. I'm gonna post it, to try to help other unfortunate and not tech savvy ppl. peace out :) |
nice one
i nerver really used the flash tool, always worked from the player etc, but glad you got the tool working tinydeal have responded and have said they will extract a working file set from the players they sell, same as these, just got to send them the rkusb tag file unless the tool can actually see the drive itself would love to see the tutorial for the tool, also do you have the editor for image customization yet for modding the UI look (not layout) good work here hopefully Demetris can extract his files, or tinydeal will upload them to their download area as soon as poss keep you informed BTW i made a translated version of the upgrade tool a while back but never finished it do you want to try it, it is version 2.5 also anyway here it is, may need testing to make sure its still ok :) http://www.ebay.vpunk.co.uk/RK27v2.5.7z |
BTW
the new rockchip firmwares for the teclast T50/nationite s:flo now support album art and i was informed by raz on mp4nation that this will now be a standard feature in all rockchip firmwares, so i hope someone somewhere is updating the code for this player or shops will get players with later firmwares that we can swap in and out of these, also audio resume should be present .. at last The s:flo also support full transparecny on 32bit bitmap images for a much cleaner smoother interface, so i also hope this becomes a feature to, as the rm970 does not support this as yet, but it makes modding the UI so much easier as a tool has been written by ark)royal from teclast bbs that allows you to use PNG images s the source for adding to the player (converts them internally to BMP images, but looks really good on the player as icons can be truly transparent, cleaner etc, older transparency was via either a solid pink or green background any way, good to know if you like interface modding |
