RockChip No-Game firmware
 

Hello there! I have a dead RK2606A player, and the firmware that was provided in the CD is all wrong and doesn't work with the device. The original firmware was different because it didn't have the GAME option. I also tried firmware corresponding to my board model (JR-008 V2) with no luck. I can play music etc. but the screen is just a blank white all the time. Updating is also not a problem since everything except the screen works. This is why i'm asking if nyone knows of any RK2606A firmware without the GAME option for me to try. And prefferably made for a JR-008 V2 board.

Not sure if it will work, but if your player is dead anyway it's worth trying.

This is for a 2606 rockchip and it is without a game.

Thankyou very much for the firmware, this seems to be pretty close, but it stil didn't work on my player...

Do you have any idea what can cause certain firmwares to blank out the screen even if they're for the same chip and board? By blindly navigating though the menus and listening to the signals from the headphones i can tell that everything is working - like i said, music plays, there are quiet beeps when im navigating though the menu, and both rockUSB and regular modes are aok.

The firmwares are matched to the screen as well as the board.

Yeah, that's the other one i tried :( It's a shame because the board looks exactly like on the picture provided in the archive, date too. On that firmware the game option is there, maybe that's why it didnt run... If only there was some way to edit the whole firmware, and not just the pictures :)
