dead uxcell.com 4gb glacier with flashing white screen
 

i had system troubles (it wouldn't let me change folders....kept sending me back to tje play music screen) with my new 4gb mp4 from uxcell.com. (this unit was at my local post office unknown to me for the full 1 mo warranty time.) so i tried flashing the firmware. now all i get is a white screen that flashes on and off. i used the wrong firmware.

i believe that i have the right firmware now. but whenever i try to update, the mp4 player flashes off then on and the update utility says "read or write information failed". that's on my desktop. i used mp3 player tools 4.05 and the commercial version 4.19.

on my laptop a similar thing happened but without the "read or write information failed" error. i think it just told me it was unsuccessful after the words "displaying communication picture." i used update tools 4.05 and 4.15.

a few times afterward, i would get a pixelated screen with some color on it.

any ideas what i can do? i never really got to use this thing.
