Default player does not turn on. Plugged in it runs normally

hi; i own a chinese sony (1 GB w/ 1 mp Camera) and have a problem. It simply does not turn on. But when i plug in the usb cable it runs normally - until i start a game/video or mp3  when the sound starts to play the screen start to blink and die afterwards. To turn the player back on i have to unplug and plug the usb cable again. Thanks in advance.

and here is a photo of it :

Hi mymoonica,

Has this problem ALWAYS happened or has it only started happening recently?

How long have you had your player? Are you able to get a hold of the seller and get an exchange? That might be the easier option.

It seems your player isn't hold it's charge in the battery so I suspect there's something hardware specifically wrong with your player and would be easier if you get a replacement.

thanks for the reply. The problem started recently. Its most likely because of the battery as it doent hold the charge. There is no seller as it is a present from a friend of mine that went to China. When its connected to the computer, it works just fine. I wonder if just a battery replacement would do wonders?

Yeh, sounds like a battery problem.

You can try to open your player and have a look at the soldering as there's been reports that the soldering on some of these players are rather 'dodgy' and not the best of works.
