are you on an XP mahine??

the T50 files are not a problem dont worry about that, its purely for recovery, they are only there to enable the program to do its stuff, after that we can put on your original files ... do you have original files

have you copied teclast.sys to the main drive and reconnected

you really need an xp machine, mac wont work and vista is a pain

i ahve recovered several players with the rk27dm too so far

whot os are you on

to be clear, did your player look like this when it was working??

did you make a backup of the firmware?

when you tried to load setup.rkw file, what file/firmware was that??

if it is like the player in the image, i have that exact one and also suffered a loss of partition for no reason at all, just died through normal use

i used the rk27dm tool, the R button did not light up for me so i pressed the U button
this appeared to fail .. but when i reconnected the player to windows xp, xp saw a new drive and asked for drivers, i pointed it to the drivers, not let it go by itself, it installed and i had my partition, it needed formatting and then all was OK

then, i copied the setup.rkw in the main folder and restarted the player. when i connected the player again, my pc started to install a new usb-device rock27usb. at this moment when i trie to connect my mp4 player, nothing happens. no bootletter appe
what "setup.rkw" file did you use
with these player the files and firmware are very specific, you can not just use any files, and it may be a problem that you do not have the originals, but MAY be ok as we have a few firmware that may work

an RKW file is a full firmware file, there will be NO RKW file for your player, so we have to use an RKW file from another player for the programs to work, what we then need is all the INDIVIDUAL firmware files to later copy to your player

hey makd511...

i come closer...:)...i copied the teclas.sys and the hidden partition appears :)...what kewl...i installed the firmware to the hidden partition, restarted the player aaaaaand....he went blue :) but nothing more...
i started the whole sh... again...with the rk27dm tool, but i can't push the u-button and with the r button it failed and failed and failed :(...somethings seems wrong with the usb or flash...thats all i can read when the progress stopped. further..there is no boot letter shown :((...

makd511 13th Sep 2008 3:31 am

right, now we have the hidden partition available you do not need to use the DM tool again

the problem with the blue screen will be that the firmware is wrong for your player

which firmware did you try>>
there are about 3 i think that may wotk with the player

now you need to copy RKUSB.tag to the player as well as teclast.sys
do not need to use the tool again as we have the drive now and rkusb.tag will now let us access it, so do not use tool again

you need to try the different firmware avilable for you style player only

BTW are you sure then blue screen was not just the calibration screen, did it have small crosses on the screen

When the firmware folder is open do not copy a compressed .RKW firmware file into the firmware partition it just will NOT work.

You need to copy 4 folders containing the firmware only, named thus:-

APPDATA
RESOURCE
SYSTEM
SYSTEM00

There are 3 downloads with the correct folders in ready here, try each 1 and reboot your player until you find 1 that works:-

More information on this is here:- http://www.mympxplayer.org/firmware-...s-vt10856.html

Good Luck!

Re: rockchip rk2706 more than dead...

ok...still blue screen :(...when i connect the player to the pc, NO boot letter :(((...why????...it is good that my english skills are not suffice to curse :)

makd511 13th Sep 2008 9:27 am

does blue screen have any RED CROSS on it

on my player that is like your player a BLUE SCREEN is for screen calibration, or a special screen to make the ouch screen work

look in the top left or right corners for SMALL RED CROSSES are there any on your blue screen

and did you tray all the firmware that knob listed for you

Re: rockchip rk2706 more than dead...

When your player is dead you can use the "R" button on RK27DM.exe (Rockchip Device Manager) program just to get your player into rockUSB mode - (monitor this in remove hardware icon manager)
http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/a...lipboard01.jpg
Then you can use the Upgrade tool to install the firmware folders (no rkusb.tag needed)

download upgrade tool here:-
http://www.mympxplayer.org/rockchip-...v25-df881.html

Player needs to be in RockUsb mode to use this, remember to check this in remove hardware icon manager)
http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/a...lipboard03.jpg

So

1) If your player is dead and your firmware partition is damaged then connect it to usb.
2) Run RK27DM.exe and load in any RKW firmware.
3) If the R button is active (you are lucky success is guaranteed) just press it, (if no R button is active then install the rockusb27.sys driver)
4) Click YES on the 2 message boxes that come up and watch for the RockUsb icon (in remove hardware)
5) when its done close the RK27DM.exe program (still with the RockUSB icon active)
6) Run the upgrade tool you just downloaded.
7) Load firmware folders into upgrade tool.
8 ) Press the upgrade button and watch it do it's thing
9) When finished you just need to format the main 8GB memory in Fat 32

and you're Done! 8)

I used this method to recover my player yesterday when i corrupted the firmware by shutting the pc down with the player connected.. It worked a treat for me, but remember it doesn't work if your firmware partition is good. but you can use teclast.sys or rkusb.tag on a good partition instead..
