Default HELP Blacked out screen?!? OEM Touch MP4

Help I just bought this from ebay and it worked fine for the hour or so it was going well but then I was browsing through the setups and when I choose a display setup it just went black! I didn't know what to do? I just turned it off but still it wouldn't show. It connected to the computer and it was just black screen but it would work but I couldn't see anything! So I formatted the things. What should I do? What firmware will work with this? Please help me?!? I just got this a day ago and I don't have the money to waste 75 dollars. Please help?

it sounds like the screen rightness is all messed up

you say it still connects to the pc ok and you can stil see the player in windows

I tried to reset it but it still doesn't show anything. Yeah it is basically like a storage now because I formatted it thinking it would be reset, after trying the "reset hole" but that didn't work either. Help?

for starters get in touch with the sellers and try to get the firmware from them, i doubt they will have it or even care but its worth a shot

if not we need to find a firmware for your player as it has a camera and that may be more tricky

i am assuing that thi is a rockchip player

Here is firmware for your player with built in camera. Click this link to download it.

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=10G0AMD8 or here:

I am assuming you have consumer update installed already. That's the application that updates your players firmware. If not download it off your disc or from this website. Hook the player to your computer and let it rip. Let me know how it goes.

to nk_buy_sell: did it fix your player?

to others: Please remember ONLY use this firmware for dead player recovery!

What do you mean by a dead player? Is what I explained considered 1 or no? Because I just contacted the seller and will get a replacement 1 but am trying to get it to work so I don't have to go through the hasle of sending it back- shipping etc.
