vx858 clone with screen inverted and mirrored
 

My mp4 player is a vx858 clone like many others bought into Ebay: suddenly I was not anymore able to transfer files into it, so I updated the firmware probably with a wrong one and now screen is inverted, mirrored and flashing...!!! All the commands, the icons are inverted as in a mirror.
Is there anywhere a solution, a new firmware to solve the problem? I tried a lot of firmwares found into web but with no success.

sorry, but if you have tried many so far you will have tried them all, so all i can say is keep looking for more and more, you will hit on one at the end of the day (maybe) its an imposing task but the only true way

the same happened to me ...I have a clon of V858 with camera I have the screen inverted because of the firmware...if you find something please tell me...i will do the same!!

i think someone needs to go on a scouting mission and collect together all the firmwares we have on here and anywhere else and collect them all in one thread and then people can work through the list trying each one

there are a few in the downloads here, some on mp4nation forums and maybe some on other sites

then when occasion like this happen it will be easier to find them all

i know a member here recovered theirs from inverted screen (the onlly one i have known t actually recover one of these players!!!!!)

Heh, if someone would send me one of those i'd be glad to get all the firmware i can find. ;)

hi guys! but how do you explain the screen inverted and mirrored? Is it possible to cancel or not all the information inside a flash memory when we update a firmware? Is flash memory corrupted in anyway? Sorry for my many questions, but I find strange not to update my minimp4 player. No expert man has an explanation? I still hope every day someone finds a solution...

The memory does not get corrupted. The firmware's display driver does not correspond to the display of the player, this is why it shows up wrong.

Why you shouldn't update? Well, you know, if it ain't broken then don't fix it.

GREAT! THANKS KNOB! IT WORKS! I tried many similar firmwares, but this is the right one: my player is back to the origin and works as the first day... I hope this information is useful for other people. ciao

dod you need to open the player to get it into update mode or did the program work fine for you, what version of the update tool did you use as this sometimes has an effet o the update. well done and glad at last we have some success for people tryng to recover these players

Yes, with the wrong firmware I had to open my player to put it into update mode (rock usb device), shortcircuited on rockchip, then I updated firmware with the consumer update v.3.1.2: my player works again! so don't desperate, but find the right firmware for your dead player. ciao

im fine i dont have this player its just we have so many of these players that vare broken from bad updates that any solution and files that work like you have is essential ingformation for future users

i have the same problem: screen inverted and mirrored but i am not able tu acces roket mode to be able to instal a new firmware. i conected it shuted down and i press M fol more then 10 second but the computer recongnize it only like a memory .. so i am not able to update firmware....
so.. it is some one here who can help me.. ?
