DEAD MP4(show hourglass) i have done everything please help
 

I have been triying to recover my MP4 http://www.letsgodigital.org/images/.../nano-ipod.jpg
i did the whole tadad1's recovery guide.... i got my computer to recognize it as an ADFU device...i had some problems like i needed to change de USB\VID_10D6&PID_6982\2002-78 according to a post writed by _Jim_ here in the forum... but now i have my device recognize but is not display in the explorer or in the hard disk management console...what can i do??

help please

ADFU mode means it's waiting for firmware to be uploaded to it.

Open it up and find the board# and CPU, search the board# to find compatible firmwares.

I've never seen Actions device with PID 6982... this is a strange one.

:( hi there friend ...thanks for replying and excuse my ignorance in this matters... i do see my device as an ADFU device in the Device Manager window but what i cant do is to see it in the explorer windows as a drive unit...i also have two softwares for deploying firmware ... the s1fwx_v33 and the MP4 utilities ... but both of them need that the devices its been identified with a drive letter...correct me if im wrong or doing anything wrong.... about the PID what i did its to follow the instruction given by _JIM_ in the topic "Change AdfuUpdate.inf" there he said that if you dont get your device identified as an ADFU this migth be releated with a bad line in the AdfuUpdate.inf exactly the line
%USB\VID_10D6&PID_ff51.DeviceDesc%=MDisk.install,U SB\VID_10D6&PID_ff51
that you need to change it for the real PID and VID of your device...rigth now my line in the file says
%USB\VID_10D6&PID_FF66.DeviceDesc%=MDisk.install,U SB\VID_10D6&PID_FF66
thats all did... and i get my device identified as an ADFU but not display in the explorer...that the whole situation ....help me out here ... i would like to recover my MP4 and i think that im close to do it....thanks in advance

Read the dead player recovery guide.

It will not show up as a drive because U disk functionality depends on working firmware.

It's waiting for firmware.

ok....like i said im new in this stuff...my board says VER:A BO-25009
and the CPU is NY27UT088G2M its that possible or im checking the wrong thing?? the other thing is that i download a firmware this 3.5.37v2.1b_FM.7z you tell me if its the correct one...and how do i flash it???....hey men excuse my ignorance again...i really want to learn about this things.

yes you were rigth men .... i used the MP3 player utilities ... but i didnt get it to work as an ADFU device .... instead i configure it as a WinUSB Device(HS) ... and i had another error when trying to recover firmware...its says "read and write failed...please reconnect the device" when i do it i keep receiving this messages. thanks again man
