Default Player Frozen. Need to Update

I have a 2GB ipod nano looking mp3 player.

It worked for 2 weeks but I think I screwed up with the firm version and now it don't work. It's forever stuck in the Hour-Glass SCreen

Computer won't recognize it when it's plugged in. I have finish the DEAD PLAYER RECOVERY GUIDE. Now computer say's it ready to use, BUT I still can't see it, and can't update the firmwire. Please help me I've tried so many ways.

Heres a pix of my mp3 from the inside

I also opened it.
Here's some board numbers.

GOLZI
G_18A_Main_V0.6
FGD177FLW-54124B-1F17724FB
3G-7505

Now when I plug it in I don't get an error message saying that windows doesn't recognize but I still don't see the drive under My computer.

When I go to Device Manager it's under ADFU Device. But its still unaccesible. I think I need a FULL Firmwire or some sort of firmwire.

Please Help I'tried too many things already. You guys are my last hope.

Use MP3 Player Utility to update the firmware on it.

You will need to use procedure of screen driver replacement:

Thanks for your reply.

I have figured out why I couldn't update the Firmwire.
I was using another version of MP3 Utility. Now I have the one I started of with. But there is one big problem

It pops up a window that says
"NOW IN RECOVER STATE, PLEASE SELECT THE FIRMWIRE FILE TO UPDATE"

I have done the following but this is what I get.

Click the image to open in full size.

I have tried to update the Firmware but I get this

As you can see the download status bar gets stuck and I have to disconnect the device because nothing happens.

I still can't see my mp3 drive under my computer, but because I found the write Mp3 Utility Version at least the firmware , I think we're getting closer.

What should I do?

Wrong firmware version. Your player should be using version 9.x, not 3.5.35.

Actually I was able to click on my drive when I opened it, it was empty.

I made the following folders; Music, Videos, Images.

However I think I'm missing some other files to make the screen start.

Is there someway I can get these files back?

Follow procedure of screen driver replacement.

The firmware you have does not contain correct driver for FGD177FLW.

You will need to find firmware with FGD177FLW driver and replace it into your firmware.

Procedure is described in linked thread above.

Lolita I understand something is wrong with the Firmware. I did a try an error on at least 10 of them and this one
http://www.s1fw.com/plus/download.ph...aid=1236&cid=3

This Firmware made my black screen turn into a bright white screen. But I still can't see no interface.

Am I missing more files you know the ones that make the mp4 load up that are not firmware.

I mean my player is detected and the screen turns on but no system running.

DO I keep trying more firmware???

When I mean missing files is when you double click on your External Drive(G), you have the music folder, the image folder, the video folder and don't you have more files.

Files that make the player run.

I think I'm missing files, check this out

Click the image to open in full size.

What's the deal with the dump file, why is one generated when I run S1Wfx?

Firmware is separate from U disk.

s1fwx cannot extract version 9.x firmware.
