Wanted: Veho Quinque 4GB RK2706 v2.20 3" screen firmwar
I would greatly appreciate any help that anyone can provide in relation to sourcing a stock firmware for this player.
I managed to brick it (don't ask  ) and unbrick it using USB drivers found on this very informative site. I re-installed the only RFW based RK2706 firmware I could fine (Unibit v2.19, found here in downloads). The buttons don't map properly any more (but all are still working) and it no longer recognises microSDHC cards. Oh, and chinese is the only language available.... Any pointers to a download link for a copy of the original firmware would be very gratefully received. |
does your player have screws on the side of it??
if not then it will be a rebrand of the original ramos player (rm970) and the pentagram cineo player but it has to have no screws on the side can you confirm, i have seent he product images but they all use that one and many a time its not the right player |
Many thanks for the prompt response!
The unit has no screws on the side at all. Closure is by internal clips requiring external pressure to be applied to the case to open. There is a reset button hole (unmarked, requires paperclip or similar) on the back of the case. I had taken a copy (using windows explorer) of the existing firmware before the bricking but it's in folder format on my HDD rather than a single file format that the firmware installation tool that I have found (here, again) expects. So, I may have a copy of the firmware - are there any tools available which would allow me to install this copy onto the unit? |
can you see the main memory partition still??
if so there is a new method here for accessing the partition and restoring the folders http://www.mp4nation.net/forum/viewt...hp?f=43&t=8488 or you can install the pentagram firmware from here as your player is a rebrand of this one, you could use the ramos firmware that now has album art but you will lose the radio function http://www.mp4nation.net/forum/viewt...hp?f=22&t=7996 |
Thanks again, I'll give it a try and revert....
