Dead Player searching for the right firmware

Hello everybody,

I found this MP4 a few days ago but as you can see on the following pictures, the screen seems to have a problem. I tried to update it to solve the problem (I had to use the hardware way to activate the RockUSB Device, but now it works) but I think I haven't found the right firmware for this device.
The chip is a Rockchip RK2608A, If somebody have the firmware for this device, i would be nice.

To help you look for some FW you need the serial of board and screen (maybe in the other side?)

Hello again, here is what I found:

On the board (behind the screen): HTC-039C-RK-V2 2007-11-02 CHEN

Is that what you needed ?

There is alco that, that is written on the cable between the board and the screen: CFO28LCD20-37A VO

Try with this one: http://www.s1fw.com/plus/download.ph...&aid=861&cid=3

But first, BACKUP your current firmware in case something goes wrong
(it's better to have your player like this, than a plain dead one)

Thank you, I will try this one, but actually I can't use my player with the screen in this state so there is nothing to loose

Well, I flashed the player successfully, but it is still stuck on this screen... I begin to think that the problem is more a hardware one than a firmware one...

Look at the LCD flex-cable soldering to the PCB, sometimes it isn't soldered well. Also there are often tiny solder balls in between solder pads, that make short-circuit and cause the display to malfunction. But these are rare things anyway...

Also look at the LCD ID and post it here, it's written in the flex cable.

Maybe the firmware I gave you isn't compatible at all.

The LCD ID written on the flex cable is: CFO28LCD20-37A VO
I will check the soldering of the LCD, but I don't think it is the problem....
Thanks anyway
