blue screen with a sand glass in the middle of the screen

I have bought a mp3/mp4 player off ebay and it has decided it does not want to work anymore after about a week. When i turn it on now it stay on a blue screen with a sand time thing in the middle of the screen and does not go off untill i swith it off or the battie runs out

Open it up, post board ID and CPU...

We still need the board ID and preferably the display's part number too.

Do some reading on s1mp3.org to get yourself more familiar with the hardware of these players.
