if you have not tried to update the firmware in any way and this is happening then im afraid its faulty

contact the seller and ask for a replacement

white screens can happen through corrupt firmware or an incorrect firmware update

to access the hidden partition with the firmware on requires you to put a small file onthe player called "rkusb.tag", no tools needed

now you could try and access the firmware partition, copy the firmware out, format the drive (hidden partition) and the main memory then put the firmware back again and see what happens

hello makd511

tnx for the reply

i tried to do what you posted but ...

the hidden drive wont appear ... even copied wisky, frk, teclast
and still the hidden drive wont appear.

is my chip really a rockchip ? from this link i see the same case as mine..i tried his guide but still no hidden drive " http://mympxplayer.org/firmware-extraction-for-new-rockchip-rk27xx-series-players-vp53329.htm"

any other tricks you can share?

mmm, some of them are ingenics based chips on these player, but i know little of those and i think you can not get to the firmware on the player at all, contact the supplier and ask them if they have any firmware file you can use??? i doubt it

is there anyform of reset hole on the player??

how easy would it be to pop open the player and see the chip with these players, i know knob did it, maybe the only way to determine what it is

Re: white screen on boot up ... or screen splits into four

hello

nope there is no reset hole... i can only see the hole for the mic.

and the unit is still under warranty... but its gonna take about 2 weeks for them to repair or replace if i return it ...

so i was hoping to fix it without opening it... the sticker seal is really sticky hehe..

well looks like this type of player is relatively new and still no one has cracked it....(extracted the firmware).

any guide out there to beef up the volume of an mp4?
this one is really too soft for its built in speaker...

tnx for the time to reply makd511

ill just visit from time to time if someone can solve my problem..

no, no way to boost the speaker, they are generally weak im afraid

one thing to rty that has worked on other pllayer is holding various buttons whist connecting the usb#

so, hold one button, then connect the palyer to computer (player will be power off) and wait a few secs to see if it is recognised, try this with all the buttons

cheers
