dead mp4/mp5 player recovery

http://galleryplus.ebayimg.com/ws/we...9655_1_0_1.jpg

I have exactly the same mp4 player but the only difference is that mine has a built-in memory of 8Gb. all of a sudden,as I was looking for a song ...it died!!! :( I tried almost everything ...I followed the instructions of the "dead players recovery", I found a new firmware (unfortunately I don't have any backup files and the cd that came with my mp4 player didn't have the firmware) I installed the firmware and... it worked!!!!
but... (there is always a "but")...but the firmware was for a player with a touchscreen and mine doesn't have one!so...the player is working now but I can't do anything with it because it doesn't respond when I push its buttons!
Does anyone know which is the best firmware for my player?what should I do????
thankssssss

You player is a RAmos RM970 clone, here is a firmware that may work:-
http://mympxplayer.org/rockchip-firm...-am-df978.html

You could try original RAmos firmware also

the cpu is rock chip rk2706
the other two chips are samsung

i have found the ramos 970 version 2.5 firmware but i can't install it.
please give me details how to proceed
i have formated the device so there are no files inside but still opens with the old firmware (the one for touchscreen)

is there a way to make a reset on the device?

thank you in advance for helping me

does the player have screws ont he side, if so then it is not a ramos rm970 player and ramos firmware wont work on it, check the side of case for screws please

thaks

it has 4 screws. 2 on each of the long sides of the player

the plate has the following information

FR06-04-V4.0 2008-02-22

ok thanks then your player can not use ramos firmware as it is not a ramos or an OEM/unbranded ramos player, its a copy of the design only,

and...that means that I can't do anything???????

Re: dead mp4/mp5 player recovery

I would recommend looking for a compatible firmware on our site here: Rockchip Firmware on MyMPxPlayer.org or on www.s1fw.com.

Good luck.
